(Sugarwood Area) Terrebonne Parish Flood Base Maps

Hi All, I have attached a portion of the Terrebonne Parish flood base maps that shows the flood zone around our subdivision.  Good news from the Hurricane Rita maps is that the entire subdivision is now out of a classified flood zone.

You can view the entire parish on their interactive GIS site.  Note the toolbars on the left and the legend to select/deselect items to show up on the map on the right....very nice.  http://gis.tpcg.org/viewer.htm

Sugarwood Message Board

Overall the damage is minimal to moderate with no serious structural damage and no flooding. Most of the damage is superficial such as roof shingles missing and fences knocked down. We have water and sewage, but no electricity yet. I spoke to some electrical workers yesterday and he said it should be less than 1 week before we have power. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for 3 days.

SHA Membership Drive

LOOK AT WHAT’S NEW..!!!

Due to our initial membership enrollment and continued memberships to date, the officers of Sugarwood Homeowner’s Association, Inc. have voted and agreed to reduce membership dues by 50%.  Semi-annual membership dues are now only $30 per residence – that’s only $5.00 per month.  All current members who have prepaid their memberships will be automatically extended accordingly.  We have since learned that our normal maintenance and expenses have been less than initially anticipated which has allowed this reduction in dues.

We sincerely thank all Sugarwood residents who have become members and those who continue to maintain their current membership status and also encourage those who have not yet joined to please do so.  This way, we can all share in the continued maintenance and beautification of our subdivision and feel that it’s more affordable to join now than ever before.

Again, all monies collected through SHA membership dues are put directly back into the enhancement of our subdivision.  PLEASE JOIN TODAY…
